Slings for Lifting Loads

Slings for lifting loads are essential components in material handling and lifting operations.

There are several types of slings available, each with its own characteristics and applications.

Wire rope slings are strong and durable, suitable for heavy and abrasive loads. They can withstand high tensile forces and are commonly used in construction, mining, and industrial settings.
Polyester web slings are lightweight, flexible, and have a high resistance to abrasion and chemicals. They are often used in general-purpose lifting, especially when there is a concern about damage to the load surface.
Chain slings offer excellent strength and durability. They are suitable for hot and harsh environments and are often chosen for lifting heavy machinery or equipment.
Synthetic rope slings are lightweight and have good shock absorption properties. They are frequently used in marine and aerospace applications.

Features of Lifting Attachment:

The coil tong is produced as one-piece element. It usually hangs under the crane, and is connected to the crane using one, two, three, or four couplings.
The coupling can be stationary or rotary. In a rotary configuration, the rotating head can provide a wide range of rational speeds adjustable via the variable frequency drive, though the nominal speed is 1.2 rpm.
A weighing system can be added to the contact point between the coil and tong jaw. It displays the weight of coil on a screen that is attached to the tong body.
During operation, the telescopic tong jaw can be extended or retracted to the desired length so that it covers the majority width of the coil. The minimum allowable width of coil is 300 mm.
The motion of the tong jaw is controlled and driven by a brake and motor reducer. Both jaws approach the coil simultaneously.
Lateral protection is used to detect whether the jaw has touched the coil or not.
